hello all,
a couple of questions that i have hope someone can answer,
Recently had A?T install an upgrade system works fine except me and my wife have trouble seeing display on the standard key pad(keypad works fine but we are getting old)
system is a safewatch pro 3000en which the installer said is A$T version of vista 20p
here are my questions
1- if i purchase an ademco touch screen #6272 will it work with my system?
2- if it does work will i have to reprogram the key pad address
3-I do not have ic code if i power system down will i loose all programing that a?t tech installed for me?
4-a$t sell a touch screen but it does not seem as good as ademco brand
Thanks

1. Yes, but you may need to have an aux. power supply added.
2. Yes. I believe all the AUI (touchscreen addresses) are enabled by default
3. No.
4. It's made by Ademco/Honeywell. Last I knew they offered both the 6271 and 6272.

Thr address is already in there to work if your using only one touchscreen. The one thing youll have to remember is if you have a standard touchpad only, when yiu swap it out, you wont have Ny words programmed in the new touchpad. In other words, your zones will only display the zone number not names, ex. Garage door, front door, etc. Usually the advantage to the touchacreen is alpha display. But its nothing you cant do if it came down to it.

A regular 6160 would probably be easier to see system events, not entirely sure about the digits for arm/disarm however.
