We have our Simon XT mounted in an upstairs walk-in closet.   It's obscured halfway decently, but the bright blue lighting illuminates the whole closet at night time--which would make the unit quite easy to spot.

I don't see any settings to turn off the backlighting on the LCD display in the manual I have.  Is there a way to do this?

No there is no way to dim panel light I have used a piece of dark cloth over a few.

Thanks for the reply.  I guess I'll do the same and put something over the panel.
