Hi, I am looking to install a simple low maintenance alarm security system for a small apartment.  Because of this, I can't do a wired install, so wireless seems to be the best (only) option.

The issue is, I have infrequent and limited access to this apartment.  Because of which, I do not want to do a battery powered sensor setup (at least for the motion sensor) as this will be the primary sensor.

Ideally, i'd like a pet friendly motion sensor that is A/C powered (like straight to a ceiling outlet).  Better yet, this sensor would have a battery backup, and also include a siren.

I also would like the same thing in a seperate glass shatter sensor.

This would all be backed up by wireless battery window and door magnetic sensors.  IE, the motion sensor and shatter sensor are backups to the battery powered window and door units.

These will all report in to a GSM enabled control panel and dialer, that is also linked to a telco land line.  It would also have a backup battery incase the power was out or cut.

I'm new to all of this alarm DIY stuff, but what I've just described would be the ideal system for me.   But I'm not sure it is possible, it seems like it should be, but I( am not sure it is....

Can anyone help me out?  I can't find any motionsensors that are wireless, but also have an ac cord dongle.

Since you have an apartment and need to go wireless, that is what you'll have to do.Trust me when i tell ya,that the wireless lithium batteries last years so don't worry about it.We/re here to help guide you to do it properly and that is my professional opinion to you.Mount the panel somewhere hidden along with the gsm unit, setup the programming and be done.
