Hi all.  I have the M1EZ8 with LCD keypads.  Whenever I get an alarm the keypads don't show which zone is/was faulted, they just say "Alarm".  To find out where the boogeyman is/was at, I have to go into programming mode and into the history to see the faulted zone.  How do I get the keypads to show the faulted zone?  I can't belive they don't do it out of the box.

Edit:

Partly solved:  Went into programming and set keypads to show date and time (that setting was NO before, so the bottom line was blank when unarmed).  Now when the alarm trips, the faulted zone is displayed on the bottom line, as it should.  What's interesting is, now that it's working, I can go back in and set the date/time display back to NO and the faulted zone still shows, as it should.  So apparently it was a software glitch of some sort and turning on the date/time display fixed it.  One for the books.

Now, per the manual, "After an alarm has been silenced by a valid user code, the display will continue to show the alarm type and first zone that was faulted until a valid user code is entered a second time.  This acknowledgment is designed so that the user can still see what caused the alarm after things are quieted."  This is still not happening.  Even though it now shows the faulted zone while it's in the alarm state, once I enter the disarm code, the bottom line goes blank again and the display only shows the top line "Burglar alarm".  I'd really like it to work like it should, with the faulted zone on there too, until it's "cleared" by a second disarm code.  Any ideas?  Does anyone else with this panel/keypads have this problem?

Maybe related to turning off the date/time display. I'd run it by Elk and note your firmware revisions as reported in RP.

I have EZ8's out there, but can't report the same complaint. I also don't disable the time/date display, just temperature on some installs.

I'd like to be called sir at least once without being followed with "you're making a scene"
