Hi, hope someone can help with a query.
I would like to use an alarm panel in a remote property.  1st  for an alarm, but would also want to use the panel for some  remote switching (on/off) of 230volts supplies via 12 volt coiled relays (eight of them). I am an electrician but with limited experience with the alarm side of things, & possibilities on using them. My questions are?

1.   Can I use an alarm panel for this?
2.   Can I access the panel over the internet to turn the alarm on/off.
3.   Can I also access the panel over the internet to control the 8
         relays?
4.   And lastly, also have the panel contact me if one of the outputs
are triggered saying which output was activated.  Either via
         email/text/phone.

Would really appreciate any suggestions to if this is possible & any recommendations on a panel that might do this & would be reliable.

Many, many thanks.

A number of systems will provide the functionality that you describe.

In my opinion, the one that would do it best would be the Elk M1 Gold (with M1XEP Ethernet Interface).

There is a link to Elk on the forums Industry Links Page.

Hi, sorry it took some time to say thanks. Having a good look at the system & checking to see if its UK compatible with the areas i would be using it in.

Thanks for the info.
