I installed the alarm system about a year ago never had any issues until today.  When I came home from work, I noticed that the alarm went off and one of the motion sensors triggered the alarm.

The panel is a PC1616, keypads (2) are PK5508 and the motion sensors (2) are DSC BV-300

I have no pets and nothing was out of place to set the motion sensor off, what could cause the false alarm??

Thanks,
Anthony

Try cleaning it off. Usually spiders is the #1 cause. You wouldn't think it but a cob web or spider right on the lens will give false alarms. You may also wants to remove the cover and make sure its clean inside also.
