My post is similar in nature to one regarding shock sensors a few days ago. With both my wireless shock sensors (same model) and wirelesss motion I can only get a violation on tamper. My options are set properly in ElkRp and I am completely baffeled at this situation. I understand the test/timeout and after tampering have set in a box so the motion sensor sees no additional stimulus. It still won't violate even after quite some time. I've downgraded my firmware based on a previous poster's success. But alas, I have not acheived said thumbs up. My motion sensor is 60-703-95. BTW my wireless glassbreaks and garage door reed switches work fine and violate appropriately.

Any further suggestions?

What model number?

How are you getting the ESN's into the panel?

What options are chosen in programming, either in RP or at the KP?

Sorry about the lack of model data. Been thinking so much about it I forgot to include it. Elk m1gold, using elkRP software version 5.2.4 because 5.2.8 didn't work for someone else. Option 2 for the shock sensor iti 60-886-95 and no options for the motion sensor iti 60-703-95. I am typing in the DL numbers by hand. I'm not sure what you mean by the ESNs.

What happens if you manually learn in the transmitters by faulting the tamper?

So, forgive my ignorance when I say I'm not familiar with that procedure. I've only programmed through the elkRP software. I've seen reference to it in similar posts but don't know how to go about it.

In the M1XRFEG Installation Manual, page 8 provides how to trip the sensors and page 10 walks you through the keypad method of programming.
I program typically using RP, but  I haven't experienced the issues you describe.

So I finally got the sensors to learn. Seems like that was more painful than necessary. Getting the keypad to accept them felt like gambling in Vegas. Now the motion stays violated constantly. No options are selected. I'm again at a loss. Any help would be sincerely appreciated. Also, any tips on how to get the sensors to learn quicker would save me a nightmare the next time I have to do it. The keypad work isn't a problem -- getting the signal strength consistently high enough to enroll was a problem, even when the sensor was in the same room as the receiver. Strange.

Could be construction details or receiver orientation/interference.

Are the ground plane antennas installed?
