Hi guys,

My first post here, so far i found all my answer doing search here, but i have a tricky question...

I had a PC1555, with keypad PC1555RKZ.  I upgraded the panel to a Power832 (PC5015) found on ebay to add 2 more zones...

So question is: Can i add a recent keypad like the RFK5500 to the power 832 ?  Or do i need the new 1832 to work with it ?

What do you suggest me ?  I am not planning to use wireless for now, but it can be handy in the future, i also use my 2 PGM, and i'd like to have more so the 1864 might be a better choice.

Thanks !

Welcome to the forum.

The RFK5500 will work with your Power 832. If you need more PGM's, you could add a PC5208.

thanks for your reply ! this is great news...  Grin

Will it worth it to buy the 1832 or the 1864 over the power 832, will i have some advantage ?  over the PC LINK ?  over the general use of it ? Because for a few dollars more i can buy a DSC Kit instead and have the keypad + panel for about 100$ more... Is there a chart somewhere with the difference between those? I found one on DSC web site witch was impossible to read on the screen.

Not to say that the 832 i have is used...

The new Power Series has many additional features; the question is whether you need or would use these features. Installing a new panel, rather than a used one, is certainly a better choice. But professional grade security panels must meet high standards and are likely to provide many years of good service. The DSC chart I'm familiar with does require zooming in to read it clearly on the screen, but it's the only comparison chart I know of. The new Power Series kits are indeed a good deal, but it's really up to you whether or not to update to a new or higher level (1864) panel.
