have a PC9155 Alexor system and would like to add something like a PC5601 Status module to it. I have 4-button wireless keyfobs to arm and disarm our system. However, when I'm in one of the garages, I don't know if the system is armed or disarmed or even if it's in ready mode if I want to arm it. I want to add some type of LED indicator on the wall outside the garage that would indicate the system status......I'm thinking that it could even act as an addt'l deterrent (like a blinking car led alarm in vehicles).  Is this even possible?  Or would a WS4979 wireless wall plate (without disarming capability) work?  I'm open to any custom solutions if someone has any speciific ideas...

Thank you for any insight!

Welcome to the forum.

I believe that the LED on a WS4979 simply confirms that a transmission has been sent; it cannot display the status of the system. The only method I can think of would be to use one of the I/O terminals on the Alexor as a PGM, programmed for "System Armed Status" (05). You could then have a wall plate with an LED (steady or flashing) to show when the system is armed.

Another option would be to invest in a 2-Way Wireless Key WT4989  which give you status and feedback on button presses.
