Hi,

I  installed an Ademco Lynx Touch 5000 wireless alarm system, but did not connect the alarm system to a phone line. For now I do not plan on using an alarm monitoring service, as I have VOIP phone service, and no regular phone line.

Everything works, except after some time, I keep getting a "Reporter Failure" message.

Can the Lynx Touch 5000 be used without an alarm monitoring service?

Is there some way I can disable the "Reporter Failure" message?

Yes you can, look in the manual under communications and report codes to disable this report function

Did you get this resolved.  I have the L5100 and am having the same issue despite being monitored via GSM.  When an alarm is tripped, the "Reporter Failure" notice is up until I either reboot system or re-arm system.  Sometime re-arming it does not work.
