Read all the FAQs but did not see anything quite like my problem.
My 1832 is setup in two partitions, 1 and 2. Main house, and, separate outside building.Recently. I modified one of the key fobs to Global Arm Stay, Away, and Disarm and set the appropriate user codes. (global keyfob has its own user code, it is not assigned to anyone else or any other purpose) So far so good. It works well. The only issue is that the system will not squawk when disarming, only when arming. I set the option for for squawk only on AWAY arming,  (17-8) and, that works OK with the normal away arm, however, with the global key fob, it only squawks on arming. It does absolutely nothing (squawk wise) on global disarm. I read where one guy, in a similar situation, could only get his to squawk when DISarming. Mine is the opposite.
Upon global arm, if I stat the system, both partitions are showing A A and when the global disarm is pressed after about 5 seconds they read N N or R R. The function is working OK, but the squawk has me puzzled.
One final note, I did see that when I press the global arm (either stay or away) the RFK5501 displays "HOUSE AREA NOT AVAILABLE" but only for a moment. BTW the house area is part #1, and, the keypad is assigned to part #1. I have been through both ref manual and the install manual, and, this has me stumped. I just cannot find it.
 Any suggestions?
