Is there a device that can essentially be connected to an alarm panel that you could connect to a cell phone (ie prepaid phone) and dial a certain number or series of numbers so if you got a phone call from this number you would know that your alarm is going off?

What would actually be better is if it could send you a text message and then you could set it to text say upto four phones at once with a message that says "Hey bobs alarm is going off".

It could be wired to a relay that would activate any time the siren sounds.

I have never heard of one of these have you guys???

Sent you a PM.  Came across a site yesterday that has a service like you describe.  Don't know anything about them.  Research away!

Any alarm is only as good as its planning and install.  Spend the time and money to do it right the first time or you will spend twice the money to pay someone else to do it right the second time!

I've seen a few, but they are usually more money then an add-on dialer plus you have a new monthly bill (or the prepay option as you said).

I'm looking for a dialer that will send text...

Some of the dialers can have multiple triggers so you can at least break out burg, fire, trouble, the special door, etc with the addition of relays...

Hey Repairguy, send me that link buddy... Cool

The slave dialer would be OK but how would you connect it to the cellphone. I could come up with a dialer but I don't have anything to interface to the prepaid cellphone, not a telgaurd or DSC but a prepaid phone from Walmart
