Would like to change a DSC keypad, maybe dead

I would like to get my DSC 1550 system working again.  The keypad seems to be dead, but has power to it.  The keypad is marked PC 3000 RK.

I tried to see if re-programming would work, but the whole keypad is dark and does not respond to anything

          That is a rather old system; it might be time for an update.

          That said, some questions:

• You said get it "working again." How long has it been out of service?
• How did you determine that there is power to the keypad?
• Did you install this system?
