hi I'm trying to assist a client with  old MPI access control keypad.
The building has been resold and no-one seems to have the master code. How do I defalt the system (and can I?), and once defaulted what is the default code.

Welcome to the forum.

Unplug the wiring harness from the control station (removes power)
Reconnect wiring harness (reapply power).
Press # within 8 seconds of applying power
Press 1 (To program User Code 1)
Enter new 4-digit code

Thanks for info, but having problems with downloaing manuel. Downloads will not accept my password, any advice?
