X10 or X-10

  I recently purchased on E-Bay an X10 wireless alarm system.  Once I got the system it didn't take long to discover there were several non working components .  While the seller was nice about helping me with replacement parts, I am not comfortable with this wireless bugaboo.  I did a  search in your forum for "X10"  and the references I find to the search don't seem to be talking about the same X10 wireless system.  Can anyone help me out with this?

X10 is a proprietary technology that utilizes the power lines to conduct signals betweens transmitter and receiver modules for the purpose of automating control of lights, appliances and other devices.  The term X10 is loosely used to refer to any application of the technology.

If you provide the model number of your system and describe the problem that you are having, I’m sure that someone will be able to offer assistance.
