Newbie question: How to clear "FC" code in Vista 20p

Hello,

Bought house with alarm already installed, think it is the VIsta 20P.  Is stand-alone (not connected to any alarm company), but received "FC" code on keypad.  Per manual, means communication error.  Does anyone know how to clear the code?

Welcome to the forum!

You will need to access programming and clear *43 through *46 (*43* - *44* - and so on)

And do a *96 (default Account# and CSID)

I need to do this as well on a Vista 15P. Can anyone provide some more detailed instructions. I realize *43 - 46 is where the Alarm Co. #'s are stored, not sure exactly how to clear them.

Also, how would a *96 work, looks to me like that downloads info from the provider?

Will clearing out the *43- 46  alone keep the FC from flashing/

IMO if u don't need to report to a central station what u can do is delete these fields

40(not exactly necessary),41,42,43,45,46

these fields are ur PABX code,reciever nos. & Account no.s

In order to delete them do * + 40 + *  and so on
