PIR shows not ready when hooked up
«

I'm testing a new M1 system before I do an install. I've disabled all zones except for one zone, zone 2, and have hooked up an Optex MX-40PI motion sensor, - to neg on board, + to ZAUX, alarm to 2200 ohm resistor, then to pin 22 on the M1G (zone 2).
I have the zone defined as 1 Entry/Exit and type defined as type = 0, EOL.
The motion's LED lights to show it detects movement, but the alarm panel always shows "not ready" and audibly says "intrusion trouble violated zone 2"
Any idea what's wrong?

It's probably just a typo; you did mean Z2 rather that 22, right?
For troubleshooting purposes, place the 2.2k ohm resistor directly across the Z2 terminal and the NEG (be sure the resistor is Red, Red, Red, Gold).
Let us know.
